The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) on Wednesday announced the
cancellation of five papers in the ongoing BECE on the basis that they
have been compromised.
Three Junior High School students have been rounded
up for allegedly possessing some of the leaked Basic Education
Certificate Examination (BECE) papers.
Seven others have been arrested in Kumasi in the Ashanti region for allegedly aiding in the fraud.

Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has been directed to
investigate circumstances leading to the leakage and subsequent
cancellation of papers.
